Metis
Metis is the AI-assisted data engineering capability within the Momentum platform. It helps users create, modify, troubleshoot, migrate, assess, and understand Data Products and projects using natural-language instructions and AI-assisted workflows.
Metis provides guided workflows that reduce manual effort and help users perform common data engineering activities while reviewing and validating the changes before they are applied.
Metis Capabilities
The Metis section provides the following capabilities:

Edit Flow – Modify an existing Data Product using natural-language instructions. Metis analyzes the Data Product and project context, identifies the relevant files and models, applies the requested changes, and prepares them for review.

Create Flow – Create a new Data Product using natural-language requirements. Metis analyzes the requirements and project context, generates the required implementation, and guides you through reviewing and validating the changes. Create Flow also includes Metis Assisted Create, which provides a more structured, step-by-step Data Product creation experience.

Pipeline Resolution – Investigate and resolve failed pipelines using Metis AI-assisted analysis. Metis helps identify the failure root cause, determine the relevant project files, review proposed fixes, and validate the resolution through a new pipeline execution.

Project to Data Product – Convert an existing project into a Data Product. Metis analyzes the project context, generates the required Data Product changes, creates a Merge Request for review, and helps validate the resulting Data Product.

FAIR++ Scoring – Assess the quality and maturity of a Data Product across multiple FAIR++ dimensions. Metis provides an overall score, scoring breakdown, and proposed improvements to help identify areas where the Data Product can be improved.

Q&A – Ask natural-language questions about Data Products, projects, models, sources, transformations, and data usage. Metis provides answers based on the available project and Data Product context.
