FAIR++ Scoring

FAIR++ Scoring helps assess the quality and maturity of a Data Product across multiple FAIR++ dimensions.

Metis can assist with evaluating the Data Product, generating an overall FAIR++ score, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to improve the Data Product.

FAIR++ Assessment

The FAIR++ assessment provides an overview of the Data Product's current quality and maturity.

The assessment includes:

Assessment Area	Description
Overall Score	Provides a weighted overall score across the available FAIR++ dimensions.
Proposed Improvements	Highlights areas where improvements could have the greatest impact on the Data Product's FAIR++ assessment.
Scoring Breakdown	Provides individual scores across the FAIR++ dimensions.

The scoring breakdown covers five key dimensions:

• Findable – How easily the Data Product can be discovered and understood.
• Accessible – How easily authorized users can access the Data Product and its data.
• Interoperable – How well the Data Product works with other systems and standards.
• Reusable – How effectively the Data Product can be reused across use cases and teams.
• Ethics / Compliance – Alignment with applicable policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Using FAIR++ Scoring with Metis

To assess a Data Product:

1. Select the Data Product.
2. Open FAIR++ Scoring.
3. Start the assessment.
4. Review the overall score and status.
5. Review the proposed improvements.
6. Use the recommendations to identify areas for improvement.

The recommendations are generated based on the available Data Product information and assessment results. Review them against your organization's governance, security, compliance, and Data Product requirements before making changes.
