Platform Release Notes (May 24, 2022)

We have added new features across multiple dimensions of our Platform. They are divided into the following categories:

Develop & Deploy

Show job dependencies in the pipeline graph

You can now view job dependencies in pipeline graphs when the job order reflects the needs: relationships between jobs. We have also added links between jobs to indicate the order in which jobs must run. In other words, you can see which jobs need to complete before the next job can start.

Lock latest pipeline artifact to prevent deletion

DataOps.live now automatically locks the latest artifacts produced by a successful pipeline execution. This applies to any active branch, merge request, or tag to prevent them from being deleted based on expiration if they are the most recent artifacts.

The latest of your production environment will always be available when it comes to project documentation including the:

  • Snowflake data model;
  • Data lineage for all your tables and views;
  • Data Test results.

Enhanced Collaboration

We have enhanced the merge request workflows to allow for easier collaboration between team members:

  • Reviewers can mark changes as viewed in merge requests;
  • Authors can request a follow-up review from a Reviewer;
  • Authors can apply a suggestion with a custom commit message;
  • Authors and Approvers can notify participants when the merge request is marked ready.

See our guide on Merge Requests how.

Single Sign On

DataOps supports Single Sign-On (SSO) for the following connections: SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, Google Workspace, Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and Ping Federate.

Full details can be found in the security section.
